📝 Creating documents
There are three ways to create a document:
- Using a template
- Instruct an AI lawyer
- Start in a blank document
- Upload a document
You can start the process of creating a document by clicking the "Create a document" button on the dashboard.

Creating a document from a template
The most common way to create a document is to use a template. This is the best way to ensure that your document is legally sound.
It's also the easiest way as the editor will ask you a series of questions organised into sections. Your answers will be used to fill in the document.

Instructing an AI lawyer
If you can't find a template that meets your needs, you can ask an AI lawyer to create your document.
Choose an AI lawyer that is best suited for your task in order to get the correct expertise.

When specifying what you want the AI lawyer to write, include as much detail as possible about the task.
Starting with a blank document
If you don't want an AI lawyer to write your document, the editor can be used to create a new document.
The appropriate AI lawyer for the subject matter should still be chosen in case you wish to discuss the subject of the document with the lawyer.
Uploading a file
Existing documents created outside of Ewan can be uploaded. Supported file formats include PDF and DOCX.
